At mowbray carpets we do not currently offer an internet service for the supply of carpets.  Choosing carpets is a very personal experience and we pride ourselves of offering inpartial advice and answering any questions you may have honestly and professionally.  We are always on hand from the beginnning to the end and for the future.  So if you are thinking of purchasing your carpets online we would like you to read through the below, just to make sure you really are making the right decision......

INTERNET PURCHASE

Product selection

It is the sole responsibiliy of the client to ensure that the goods ordered are suitable for their intended use.

Sub-floor inspection

It is often necessary to prepare the sub-floor with ply or screed.  It is entirely the responsibility of the client to asses the condition of the sub-floor and its suitability to accept the nominated floor covering.  With certain floor coverings the installation of a damp proof membrane may also be required.

Measurements

It is the clients responsibility to measure and estimate the materials required and require full written confirmation of the product colour & quantities/sizes

No responsibiliy is accepted for short measures and there is no guarantee of a colour match where addtional materials need to be ordered.

Payment

Payment is required in full at the time of ordering.

Delivery/Inspection of goods

Goods will be delivered directly to your home and will need to be signed for.  It is the responsibility of the client to inspect the goods to ensure there are no defects.  In the event that the materials need to be returned to the supplier they will need to be re-wrapped to prevent damage in transit.  Failure to provide adequate protection to the goods during transit may result in charges being levied by the supplier.

Installation

This is the clients responsibiliy when goods are chosen and purchased on the internet.  Mowbray carpets will NOT undertake the installation of materials purchased from 'any on line sellers'

All arrangements of installation of goods must be made by the client

Please note no responsibility will be accepted for the performance of the flooring where the supplier deems that the installation has not been carried out in accordance with their guidelines.

RETAIL PURCHASE

We pride ourselves in providing a wide seletion of materials from amongst the flooring industry's leading suppliers.  Our showroom is at your disposal and we are always happy to offer advice to ensure that the chosen material is suitable for the area that you wish to cover.  We also happy for you to take samples home so that they can be viewed in the comfort of your own surroundings.

Sub-floor inspection

We always like to carry out an on-site survey in order to asses the suitability of the sub-floor to receive your chosen floor covering.  Where required we shall also offer advise on any sub-floor preperations and quote to install ply or screed if required.  We can also check your sub-floor for signs of dampness or any other issues which may affect the satisfactory long term performance of your flooring.  We will also advise where the installation of a damp proof membrance is required.

Measuring, planning & estimating

During our site visit we will measure and estimate the quantity of materials required.  We can also offer advice on where any seams are required and suggest materials whose dimensions will offer the most satisfactory installation, whilst also keeping wastage to a minimum!  When providing carpet we can also ensure that your installation is planned in such a way that the pile direction is laid in the correct direction to maximise both the appearance and long term performance of your chosen material.

Payment

We require a deposit with your order and the balance of payment upon the satisfactory installation of your floor covering.

Delivery/Inspection of Goods

Your goods will be received by us and cut down when required prior to our installers arriving on site.  We shall also inspect the goods to ensure that there are no defects prior to installation.  In the event that the goods are deemed to be faulty we shall organise the re-packaging and return of the goods to the supplier plus arrange replacement materials.

Removal of old floor covering/moving of furniture

If required, for a nominal charge we are able to organise the moving of furniture plus the uplift and disposal of previous floor coverings.

Please keep in mind that every day we trust the reputation of our business to the skills of the installers that we employ.  In consequence we only use the best NOT THE CHEAPEST to ensure that you will be delighted with your new floor.
